WhiteHat Education raised US$1.3 million in a seed funding
WhiteHat Education Technology Pvt. Ltd. a Mumbai based edtech startup has raised US$1.3 million in a seed funding round. The funding round was led by Nexus Venture Partners and Omidyar Network India. WhiteHat Education runs early childhood coding education platform “WhiteHat Jr”. WhiteHat Education was founded by Karan Bajaj who is the former CEO of Discovery Networks. The edtech startup provides online one to one live sessions to the students of 5 to 12 years. The startup covers Coding-sequence, structure, logic, commands and algorithmic thinking in their sessions, which are currently imparted in less than 1% of schools across the world. The company conducts 500 online classes per day with over 100 teachers. WhiteHat would use the raised fund to expand its product across many cities of India, which will help students to gain knowledge about logical and computational thinking, coding sequence etc.
