Gurugram-based vernacular edtech platform Vidyakul bags $500K in a bridge round
Vidyakul aims to provide after-school e-learning in vernacular languages for state board students. The platform recognizes that education is most effective when offered in one’s language. Edtech startup Vidyakul recently announced that it has raised $500k in a bridge round. The latest funding round was led by We Founder Circle. “We began assisting Vidyakul in 2019 and invested $100,000 in January 2021 since we were optimistic about the expansion of vernacular e-learning consumers. Since the startup began offering Gujarati language courses after beginning with Hindi, many of our investors and local business community members have expressed an interest in collaborating with them. That is how we were able to reinvest $250,000 in this round due to strong demand from the Gujarati community,” said Gaurav Singhvi, Co-founder, We Founder Circle. Vidyakul intends to use the funding to expand its team and improve the platform’s capabilities.
