UNICEF and NITI Aayog signed a LoI for children empowerment
NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission and UNICEF India have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI), which will provide an open platform to promote participation, skilling and empowerment among children across different communities. The main objective of this mission is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination among students. Yasmin Ali Haque, UNICEF representative, India, and Ramanathan Ramanan, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission, signed the Letter of Intent. “Through this collaboration, AIM and Unicef seek to promote participation, skilling and empowerment of adolescent girls and boys in and out-of-school, via Atal Innovation Mission’s programs. This strategic partnership will also help effectively build capacities of adolescents, young entrepreneurs, mentors and teachers,” the release said. This agreement would help students to inculcate skills like computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing, etc.
