UK Government launched a plan of worth $13 million for education technology
UK Government has launched its education technology strategy, which aims to reduce teacher workloads and improve quality of education by partnering with leading technology companies. The UK Government planned to invest $13 million on schools and colleges throughout the country. “This strategy is just the first step in making sure the education sector is able to take advantage of all of the opportunities available through Edtech.” Said Mr Damian Hinds, Education Secretary.
According to data, The ed-tech industry of UK is worth $223.0 million in 2018. The UK Government has identified key education challenges, which they want to tackle with the help of technology companies. The Government aims to increase the teacher training programmes and also to promote the use of innovative technologies in the schools and colleges.
