Rajasthan education to get a boost after allocation of ₹1,581 crore in budget
Rajasthan government sanctioned Rs 1,581 crore under the Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan School Infrastructure Scheme. The sanctioned budget will be utilized to build over 14,000 classrooms, laboratories and libraries. 83 old buildings will be renovated and 23 new buildings will be built. Many schools were closed under the previous government administration, but now the committee has received reopening proposals from 1,511 secondary schools and 1,324 primary schools. “Baal Sabhas had led to the effective participation of local communities in the management of schools and helped bring qualitative improvement to school education, besides enhancing the creativity of students”, said Council’s Deputy Director Manaram Jakhar. Now, the education department has allowed the students to enroll from open school and appear for the examination in Rajasthani language.
