Founded in 2018, Pintek is a financial technology firm with an aim to become a primary driver of educational change through financial services technology. Over 2,750 academic institutions have benefited from the startup, which has reached over 650,000 learners. The fintech startup Pintek recently announced that it has raised $7 million in a Series A funding round. The latest financing round was led by Kaizenvest and Heritas Capital. Earlier Pintek secured a US$21 million loan facility from Accial Capital, a private finance investor based in the United States, in January. Pintek’s loan volume increased by 5x in the first half of 2021 compared with the same period the year before. The fresh funds, which will go to Pintek’s parent firm, Socap Holding, bring the startup’s total equity and debt capital to nearly US$35 million. The new cash will be used to hire more personnel and increase the fintech’s business presence.
