Onion Math Raised $44.5 million in Series D funding round
Beijing-based edtech company, Onion Math, has raised about $44.5 million in a Series D funding round, which was led by Primavera Capital and other participants including Kunlun Tech, Frees Fund, Legend Capital and Lighthouse Capital Partners. Onion Math is an animated education video platform for maths and other subjects. The company has over 1,500 animated video courses and targeted to more than 150,000 schools in all the cities across China.
Previously, the company has raised almost $17 million in a Series C round, which was led by Tencent Holdings and Junlian Capital. So far, the company has raised overall $90 million. The company aims to use the fund to add extra subjects to its platform, which would increase its user base.
