Saudi based company “Noon Academy” to enter Indian education market
Riyadh, Saudi based education technology company “Noon Academy” is planning to enter the Indian education market to disrupt its edtech space on social learning app. “We have recently raised $8.6 million (Rs 47 crore) through series A financing round to enter India on our platform that appeals to the masses,” said the startup in a statement. The Riyadh based 6 years old company would use the part of fund raised to build its product and engineering and expand its routes in new markets like India. The Noon Academy has more than 2 million users on its platform with more than 1,500 certified tutors. Their platform allows students to study in groups, compete with one another and they can request tutors on demand. Mr. M Mohan, who has experience in working with MNC’s like Amazon, Microsoft, Ola and Yahoo from last 19 years has joined Noon Academy as Vice President. His leadership and experience would help the company to expand its innovative and interactive platform in many other countries.
