Noida based edtech startup AdmitKard raises $1 Mn in Pre-Series funding round

AdmitKard, a Noida based edtech startup has raised $1 million in a Pre-Series A funding round. The funding round was led by Australia-based edtech fund Growth DNA. The company is planning to expand its product across more than 100 cities in India. The company has partnered with many service providers going from test preparation, student accommodation, education finance, banking etc. This will provide complete package for any student who is planning to study abroad. The company claims to have more than 100,000 courses on its platform, which are enough to meet the requirements of most of the international students. “The company will use the funds to enhance its product and strengthen its AI-driven counseling algorithms and blockchain managed partner contracts,” said, Piyush Bhartiya, cofounder, AdmitKard. Every year, more than 5 million students seek cross border admission with bulk of them travelling to USA, UK, Canada and Australia. These students pay estimated $100 billion collectively as a tuition fee and $25 billion in accommodation and miscellanies expense, which shows the huge market of education in study abroad programs.
