Vietnam-based live streaming-focused edtech platform Marathon bags $1.5m in a pre-seed funding round
Marathon’s platform delivers live online tutoring sessions that connect teachers and students remotely. This approach, according to Duc, can provide a better learning experience and increase user engagement than other ways. A two-hour session with roughly 300 participants can be handled by a tutor and a few teaching assistants. The edtech platform recently announced that it has raised $1.5 million in a pre-seed funding round. The latest funding round was headed by Forge Ventures. The platform is yet in the initial steps of growth. The company hopes to execute pilot stages by the end of this year and market the product on a larger scale by the beginning of next year. According to the officials, the fresh funding will be used to obtain high-quality instructors, develop infrastructure, and hire an engineering team.
