Knowbox Raises $150 Million Round from Alibaba in series D funding round

A Beijing-based edtech startup Knowbox, has raised $150 million Series D round from Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba. Previously Knowbox has received investments from big name investors, like YF Capital, Legend Star, TAL Education, and JD founder Richard Liu. Knowbox offers an online platform for homework, tests, games, and contests. It specializes in providing online mathematics test banks to students, parents, and teachers. The company teaches the subject through games and contests. The AI+ education sector has been the most active sector in Knowbox. For this Knowbox also joined “SOHO China” to set up an AI teaching experiment class and to promote and spread the AI+ education. Knowbox includes 70 percent of its users from China’s primary schools and tunes up with almost 3.7 million daily active users. Knowbox has at least $305.8 million in total funding raised to date. The aim of the company is to provide Innovative learning techniques through AI technologies in its platform to stimulate students’ minds and make education more affordable.
