Kerala topped NITI Aayog’s school education quality index
NITI Aayog has released the “School Education Quality Index” (SEQI) report on school education. In this report, Kerala and Tamil Nadu have topped the list as the best states in terms of school education in the country. The ranking was given by seeing the overall performance and education quality of the schools. Kerala got 82.2% in evaluation, followed by 73.4% in Tamil Nadu. Both the states have retained their spots as they topped the list previously. SEQI released the list of states categorized into large states, small states and Union Territories. Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh were at the bottom of the list. Uttar Pradesh is one of the largest states in terms of land area and population but it lacks the quality of education delivered. Smaller states like Manipur, Tripura, Goa, Mizoram etc. were ranked separately. The list shows us the transparent view over education quality in different states of India.
