Singapore-based Jungle Ventures invests $17 million in Bengaluru-based overseas education platform Leap
Bengaluru-based overseas education platform Leap, founded in 2019 which operates Leap Finance and Leap Scholar, has recently announced that it has raised $17 million in a Series B funding round. The latest funding round was led by Singapore-based Jungle Ventures. Some existing backers i.e., Owl Ventures and Sequoia Capital India have also participated in the funding round. Leap is an education platform that gives counselling as well as economic outcomes to students to decide on the right institutions and financing solutions. “We are a one-stop solution for everything that an education abroad candidate wants. India has the biggest pool of STEM-educated English-speaking graduates, and millions of them want global degrees and professions. This is a huge choice and there is a genuine need for detailed knowledge and expert supervision. Our online community serves students to assess career opportunities, network with seniors and shortlist the most suitable programs. We then use this information to give personalized test prep, professional counselling services, financial products, and visa guidance” said Arnav Kumar, Co-Founder of Leap. With the latest fundraised amount, Leap intends to increase its product portfolio, extend its team size across business and technological capacities.
