IAN invests Rs 3.5 Cr in Thiruvananthapuram-based startup ConceptOwl
Indian Angel Network, a seed stage investment platform has invested Rs 3.5 crore in an edtech startup “ConceptOwl”. The funding round was led by KRS Jamwal, Ankit Somani, and Mitesh Shah, the prominent investors. ConceptOwl is a video based learning platform that can create virtual classroom anywhere. Students can access online JEE/NEET coaching and foundation programs through web and mobile based app. Company ensures vigorous and active learning without compromising the quality. “On one hand, there are multiple coaching centres in India that follow the traditional in-classroom style of teaching. On the other hand, there are edtech teaching platforms that impart self-paced learning entirely through the digital medium. ConceptOwl combines the best of both worlds”, said, Ankit Somani, lead Investor, IAN. The Thiruvananthapuram-based startup would use the funds to enhance and expand its offering as well as to expand its user base and marketing operations. The edtech startup has most of its user base from Tier-II and Tier-III cities as they deliver quality content at very affordable prices.
