Singapore-based edtech startup, Geniebook has raised US$1.1 million in a pre-series A round. The funding round was led by Singapore based private investment firm Apricot Capital. Geniebook assists students to excel in exams with their unique technology, which ensure that every child learns at their own pace. Geniebook identifies a child’s weaknesses and generate targeted practice for them to learn efficiently and effectively.

The startup made its platform public in 2017, previously it was only available for students of Singapore. “We want to be part of the movement that is taking Singapore’s education system to a higher level,” said Geniebook chief revenue officer and co-founder Alicia Cheong. Currently, Geniebook contains customized worksheets for primary 3 and primary 4 students in mathematics, science and English. Geniebook would use the raised funds to develop their AI driven technology and expand its data science and curriculum team.
