Edlio takes over OSMS to add K-12 Payments Tools
Los Angeles based EdTech company “Edlio” has bought Online School Management System (OSMS), a Sterling based company. Edlio provides K-12 web design, parent communication and content management system whereas, OSMS is a K-12 payment and receipting provider. The terms of the acquisition are not yet disclosed. Edlio has its user base in more than 10,000 schools of North America. In 2016, the company raised $40 million in a funding round. OSMS has its user base in more than 5,000 schools in U.S and nine of the 25 largest U.S. school districts. “We are pleased to have reached this agreement as OSMS offers us a significant opportunity to leverage their cloud-based intellectual property of online payments and school receipting within the K-12 market, and their highly skilled team in this space. The acquisition would help Edlio to reshape the payment gateway for school website by bringing advanced payment technologies.
