Schools in Delhi to get a new education board: Manish Sisodia
Delhi government has planned to introduce a new education board, which will not be a replica of CBSE board. It will be a next generation education board that will help students to prepare for entrance exams like JEE and NEET. In the past few decades, students prepare for board exams with the help of school and rely on coaching centers to clear the entrance examinations. “We thought about this in 2015 itself and even started working towards it. However, when we saw the condition of the buildings and got a sense of the scholastic environment in the classes, we realised that before introducing a new board, we had to first work on improving the infrastructure,” said Manish Sisodia. Each state has their own state education board like, Harayana Board, Maharashtra Board, Bihar Board etc. From now, Delhi will also have their own education board that will be unique from all education board across country.
