Coursera has raised $103M in series E funding round
California based edtech company, Coursera has raised $103M in a series E funding round, which was led by Australia-based company, SEEK Group. Future Fund and NEA also participated in the series E funding round. Coursera is an online learning platform founded by two Stanford professors which offers 3,200 courses, 310 specializations and 14 undergraduate and graduate degrees from the top universities. Coursera has also partnered with more than 150 universities and other educational institutions to deliver online courses to more than 40 million students across the world.
In the last two year, Coursera has increased its user base by 50 percent from 26 million to 40 million. Now, company aims to invest its raised amount to grow its learning platform in more cities and to enhance its offerings through artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, quantum computing, and the internet of things (IoT), etc.
