Classplus raised $1.6 million in series- A funding round
Delhi-based ed-tech startup, Classplus has raised $1.6 million in series- A funding round led by Times Internet and GREE Ventures. Other participants include Spiral Ventures and Rising Stars Fund. Classplus is a mobile-first platform, which enables private coaching institutes and tutors to update their content distribution, payments, communication, and online assessments through the app. It also allows tutors to evaluate students and track their performances.
The start-up aims to use the funds to expand its operations, team size and product offerings to its customers. The company also aims to leverage on data science and would enable a predictive analysis of their assessment scores. The ed-tech market is on a growth trajectory in India and is expected to reach $2.0 billion by the end of 2021, from $0.4 billion in 2017.
