Classcraft raises $7.5 million in a funding round to turn Classroom into Adventurous Gamified Environment

New-York based EdTech company “Classcraft” has raised $7.5 million in Series A funding round. The funding round was led by Investissement Québec along with participation from Whitecap Venture Partners, Brightspark Ventures and MaRS Catalyst Fund. Classcraft creates gamified environment in the class room by providing a common platform for teachers and students to play games. This funding of $7.5 million makes $11 million as the total funding of the company. Through interactive platform, Classcraft can turn classroom into live action video game or scholastic version of Dungeons and Dragons. Company also provides free samples of classroom management tools to check the quality of their product. Their paid version starts from $120 per year for one classroom. Classcraft would use the raised funds to enhance their sales efforts and increase their user base in more schools across U.S and Canada.
