Camp K12, which is eleven years old, connects students aged 5 to 18 with teachers for live interactive online classes in subjects such as coding and English. Camp K12, an edtech firm, has recently announced that it has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round. The latest financing round was led by Elevation Capital and Matrix Partners India. “We’ve built the foundation for a comprehensive online school, and we’re ready to take it to the next level. In a saturated market of online institutions, I believe that an enduring institution will be formed not via sales and marketing prowess alone, but through differentiated client acquisition, engagement, and retention. I have faith in network effects and the power of community. We have a big plan for social interaction opportunities for our students, both in and out of the classroom” stated Co-Founder of Camp K12, Anshul Bhagi. The funding will be used, to expand into two new locations and deepen the company’s presence in existing ones, as per the company, which will employ the group class learning model to do so.
