AI getting a big push in Educational institutes
The Union Education Ministry has directed all the institutions which are accredited by the All India Council for Technical Institutions to allow Artificial Intelligence as an elective in B.Tech. programs and also, begin a B.Tech. course in AI and Data Science. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal ‘Nishank’ said in Parliament recently, is strived at expanding the human resource in AI and data analytics. The government also stated in its response to the house that the National Council of Educational Research & Training has started the method for the training of a new national curriculum structure for school education as recommended in the National Education Policy, 2020 while which the probability of proposing a primary program on AI at the secondary level is being searched. The CBSE had also proposed artificial intelligence as a significant subject in grade 9 two years behind and in grade 11 the previous year in their affiliated schools.
