Jordan-based edtech startup, Abwaab bags $5.1M in a seed funding round
Founded in 2019, Abwaab is an online education platform that provides secondary school students in MENA to study at their own pace, examine themselves and get progressing with proficient instructors anytime and anywhere. It recently announced that it has raised $5.1 million in a seed funding round. GSV Ventures, 4DX Ventures, Spartech Ventures, BECO Capital, EQ2 Ventures, and Foundation Ventures have led the newest financing round. “Our region is residence to above 100 million learners. To unleash their whole potential, we are allowing the future generation with learning. There is no region more prepared for education separation than ours, and the whole Abwaab team has a fixed journey to take this hurdle head-on,” said Hamdi Tabbaa, the co-founder & CEO of Abwaab. With the latest fundraised amount, the company plans to stimulate its regional extension, commencing with Egypt.
