A Kabaddi fest that seeks to integrate sport into education

Ludlow Castle Sports Complex in New Delhi hosted a Kabaddi Fest that was organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). 16 teams participated in the event, 8 teams of boys and 8 teams of girls from Delhi NCR. The aim of the Kabaddi Fest was to promote schools towards making sports as an integral part of school education. ”We need to look at school sports with the lens of education. Sports should be an integral part of the school curriculum for children. We are looking at creating new opportunities for the children across the country by integrating sports and education towards realising the dream of Samagra Shiksha and the vision of making ‘300 million children playing 60 minutes daily,” said, Deep Mukherjee, CEO, CII National Committee of Sports & Head of Sports Development, Star India. This initiative aims to make 300 million students play for 60 minutes every day, this will improve the physical and mental health of the students.
